Welcome! It is expected that, upon registering here at Dragon Keepers, new members will familiarize themselves with the guidelines below. Ignorance of any of these guidelines will NOT absolve a member from being reprimanded or banned if they do not follow the rules. These rules are in place to ensure accurate information, as well as a respectful, enjoyable space to share and learn. Members found to be in gross or repeated violation of these guidelines will be removed from the community.

* Respect and common courtesy is expected. If another member is rude, it's usually best to ignore it and move on. Repeated rude comments and/or personal attacks will get you banned.

* If you see a post which obviously displays ignorance or a practice (or set-up) that is a danger to the health of the individual or their animal, please don't be afraid to speak up. There's no need to call them stupid (or any colorful variation) but please make them aware of a better way to do things.

* Understand that this is an internet community, not a panel of experts, and that any advice received in this community should always be verified by a reliable source, such as a breeder, reptile expert or qualified reptile vet. No one shall be held accountable for actions and decisions you make on your own, or any resulting negative consequences. The moderators make every effort to curb the spread of misinformation, but cannot be held responsible for your choices.

* NO LINKS TO ANIMAL AUCTIONS or AUCTION SITES - community promos (for related communities) are fine, but do not link to auction sites. Breaking this rule will get you banned.

* NO SPAM. None - not in replies, private messages or posts. It will be removed and the member responsible will be banned. Spam includes unrelated posts like petitions, news items not pertaining to lizards, reptile husbandry or Dragons.

* Feel free to ask questions, but also check the appropriate sections to see if your question may have already been answered before you post. If you need further clarification on any subject, just ask!

* Sticky Posts - this format is used to allow a particular post to stay at the top of the specified forum, so that it can always be easily found. If you need more information about a subject in a sticky post, please check the topics already posted, and if it is not answered there, start a new topic. Replies to sticky posts will be deleted, unanswered. This is to help keep inaccurate or confusing information from being displayed, as well as to keep the forum tidy. If you have a concern about the content of a current sticky post, or have information which you feel should be posted in a sticky post, please message lexi or email lexi [at] dragon-keepers.com and let her know.

* No reposting of photos or discussions. Please do not take photos or discussions from this forum and post them elsewhere. You may, of course, cross-post your own words or photos on other internet sites and forums, but please do not remove other member's intellectual property (writing, photos, icons, signatures, etc.) from this site.

This guideline will be edited as necessary. If you encounter a situation which requires a moderator's attention, please follow the instructions in the FAQ to contact us. If your situation is of a technical support nature, please feel free to post in the technical support forum. If the situation is regarding another member, it is best to contact a moderator directly in order to resolve the situation.
